ABYSSE Soundart Festival
Abysse Soundart Festival is organized by Handenterminalen Konst/ HTK in Handen every year in June. The invited artists come from a variety of backgrounds, mainly music, art and choreography. Common is their interest and practice of sound and their exploratory way of doing it.
An abyss – the theme is interpreted freely for invited artists, but is intended to trigger the imagination with a starting point in something unknown and mysterious, a bottomless deep chasm, place or space. The theme is given as a framework for the invited artists to freely relate to, in the way they themselves wish.

The sound of the Abyss is a reminder that there is still so much that we do not know about the world around us. It is a call to explore, to seek out the unknown, and to embrace the mysteries that lie just beyond our reach.
